The Youngstown Bomb Squad was dispatched to investigate the discovery of what is being described as a musical instrument case found outside a building in Warren Wednesday evening.
A security guard spotted the case near a pillar at the Gibson Building on East Market Street at around 5 p.m. Police and fire crews evacuated the building until the bomb squad could assess the situation.
After the bomb squad arrived they scanned the case, and determined it to be safe. Upon opening it, crews found a DJ turntable inside.
"Warren Police did everything they should have by notifying the bomb squad and treating it as if it could be an actual device," asid Youngstown Police Lieutenant Doug Bobovnyik.
The East Market Street office complex houses the city's health, community development and treasurer's departments in the basement and the building's first two floors.
In addition, the Social Security Administration offices and Trumbull County WIC Program offices are in the building.
