The Mercer County Coroner is saying that the death of a Sharon woman found in her burning home was an accident.

Firefighters found the body of 56-year-old Sheryl Minto inside her burning home on the 200 block of Wilson Street shortly before 4:00 p.m. Friday.

Deputy Coroner Robert Synder has ruled her death accidental as a result of asphyxiation due to smoke inhalation.

The Pennsylvania State Fire Marshal is investigating the fire, which produced a minimal amount of flame, but heavy smoke.

Officials say when crews arrived on scene, there were minimal flames, but heavy smoke. 

Firefighters say they believe the blaze began in the living room, where the victim was found lying in a hospital type bed.
