Crews were called to the 2900 block of Glenwood Avenue just before 2:00 a.m. Sunday.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, they noticed smoke billowing from a plaza and flames coming from Concepts of Learning daycare center.
At least one additional business within the plaza sustained damage.
It took about an hour to get the fire under control and no one was hurt.
