People driving in the area of Routes 11 and 82 on Thursday may have wondered where a tower of black smoke was coming from.

People driving in the area of Routes 11 and 82 on Thursday may have wondered where a tower of black smoke was coming from.
Many of those who spotted it called Trumbull County Dispatch, which sent out Vienna Township firefighters to investigate.
It turned out that the smoke was coming from a pile of burning tires at Files Auto on Scoville North Road SE.
Crews arrived shortly after noon, and had the fire under control in less than 45 minutes.
No injuries were reported.
