Habitat volunteers build Struthers home in two days
Building a house is no easy task, but The Habitat Road Trip Crazies were in the Valley to help build a home in just two days.

Building a house is no easy task, but The Habitat Road Trip Crazies were in the Valley to help build a home in just two days.
Fifty volunteers from 14 states across the east coast came to the site on Ridgeway Drive in Struthers to build the new home.
About 50 more local folks joined them to put in the plumbing, heating and cooling systems for a family to move in.
“The reality is the amount of work they did in two days would normally take six weeks. So, you figure we do three weeks of work in essentially eight hours. It's really amazing. It's going to put us way ahead of schedule and move this family in months faster,” said Habitat for Humanity of Mahoning Valley Executive Director Monica Craven.
The home's primary sponsor was Al Gilchrest, who passed away and donated his house to be sold by Habitat.
