A driver was taken to a hospital after an accident involving a semi tractor trailer along eastbound Interstate 80 in Austintown.

The flatbed truck carrying lumber went off the road and turned on its side between Route 46 and the Meander Reservoir at around 11:30 a.m. Friday.

The Austintown Fire Department used booms to contain a small amount of fuel that leaked from the truck.

The driver, Ronald Goehrig, 53, of Superior, Wisconsin was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment of injuries that troopers say are not life threatening.
