The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a tractor-trailer was on fire Monday on the Ohio Turnpike.
Troopers say the fire happened by exit 218 after the toll booth near the Interstate 76 and Interstate 80 split.
The Jackson Township Fire Department responded to the call and was assisted by the Austintown Fire Department.
The fire took five minutes to put out and the road was temporarily closed for thirty minutes. Traffic was redirected on I-76.
No one was injured in the fire.
Troopers say the flames were in the front of the truck and did not reach the trailer. The truck was carrying paper product.
They believe the fire happened because of an electrical issue, but the official cause of the fire is under investigation.
