A Warren man, who admitted that he sexually abused a child, is going to prison.

Jesse Young, 40, was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to three counts of child rape on Wednesday.

Young has been in the Trumbull County jail since May after walking into the Warren Police Department and confessing that the sexual abuse took place between 2008 and 2013.

By the time Young made his confession, his victim had turned seven-years-old.

Young could have been sentenced to life in prison.

When he completes his sentence, Young will have to register as a sex offender.
