A Trumbull County woman and a Portage County man were seriously injured in a two car crash near Ravenna.

State Troopers say a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire driven by 32-year-old Kyle Patton of Paris Township went left of center and struck a 2014 Chevy Cruze head-on along State Route 5 Wednesday afternoon.

The Pontiac then veered off the road and overturned.

Patton was critically injured and was taken to University Hospital in Ravenna.

Troopers say 56-year-old Denise Raddatz of Newton Township, who was driving the Cruze, was taken to University Hospitals with serious injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

The Highway Patrol says it does not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
