Some Warren voters given wrong polling location

There's some bad information getting into some voters hands in Warren. Some voters were given an incorrect polling location.
The Mahoning Valley Organizing Collaborative spent much of the summer registering people to vote. They recently put flyers on doors to make sure people knew where to vote on election day.
But some voters on Warren's southwest side were given the wrong address. One of the flyers for Precinct 6B told voters to go to the Restoration Christian Church. The correct location was instead, Tod's Crossing.
Stephanie Penrose, Deputy Director for the Trumbull County Board of Elections, believes the group made an honest mistake.
"Our website is up to date with the correct polling location and has been since last May. On the polling place list one is just below the other so maybe they just read the list I really can't say how the problem got started," Penrose.
A spokesperson from the MVOC says the whole point of their organization is to make sure people get out and vote so they are going to do what they can to make sure they correct that problem. About a dozen volunteers went door-to-door Monday night to visit the homes given the incorrect flyer to provide them with the correct information.
"The problem we had was some of the precincts switched recently. Some of the door hangers we put up were in the wrong location. We have no intention on influencing any political, mayoral campaigns or anything like that. It was just a small mix up," says MVOC director, Damario Cooper.
There are about a thousand voters in Warren's precinct 6B. It's not known how many of them got the flyer with the incorrect information.
