Feds grant $2.4 million to Trumbull Head Start

Congressman Tim Ryan announced on Thursday that $2,406,229 is being awarded to the Trumbull County Action Program in Warren.
The money will be used to fund Head Start services which promotes school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of low-income children through the provision of comprehensive health, educational, nutritional, social and other services.
This grant is part of the Head Start program through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The funds are budgeted to support the program from November 1, 2015 through October 31, 2016.
