Green Township resident fires shot at intruder
Goshen Police say an elderly woman fired a shot at a man who broke into her rural Green Township home Tuesday afternoon.

Goshen Police say an elderly woman fired a shot at a man who broke into her rural Green Township home Tuesday afternoon.
The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. in the 7000 block of West Garfield Road.
The woman, who police say is in her 70's, tells police that she observed the suspect walking down her drive way. He knocked on the door and when she didn't answer, he went around back and broke into her home using a rock.
Police tell 21 News, that the woman grabbed a gun and went into the bathroom. As the suspect made his way through the house, the woman stepped out and fired at him.
Police don't believe the woman hit the suspect.
Mahoning County Sheriff's deputies, agents from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and a K-9 tracking dog were called the scene and searched the area, but did not find the suspect.
They describe the man as a white male between the ages of 18 and 25. He's between 5'10 and 6-feet tall. He was wearing a brown stocking hat and a plaid shirt.
