Sixties bands coming to the Canfield Fair
This year's Canfield Fair may become a destination for fans of music from the 1960's.
The fair board has released a partial schedule of grandstand entertainment for this summer's event that includes performance by members of the “Happy Together Tour 2015.”
Wednesday, September 2 — Happy Together Tour 2015
The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie ("It Ain't Me Babe," "Happy Together," "Elenore")
The Association ("Along Comes Mary," "Cherish," "Never My Love")
Mark Lindsay [former lead singer of Paul Revere & the Raiders] ("Kicks," "Hungry," "Arizona")
The Grass Roots ("Midnight Confessions," "Let's Live for Today," "Sooner or Later")
The Buckinghams ("Kind of a Drag," "Don't You Care," "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy")
The Cowsills ("The Rain, the Park & Other Things," "Indian Lake," "Hair")
Thursday, September 3
An as yet to be announced contemporary country act will come to the Fair that evening. The concert will be announced on June 12.
Friday, September 4 — Demolition Derby
Saturday, September 5 — Truck & Tractor Pull
Sunday, September 6 — MercyMe
The renowned Christian Rock band MercyMe will appear at the Grandstand Sunday evening. The group achieved 13 consecutive Top 5 singles on the Billboard Christian Songs charts, with seven of them reaching #1. They have also received eight Dove awards and many Grammy nominations.
Tickets for all Canfield Fair grandstand events will go on sale Monday, June 15 at 9:00 a.m.
