Three people were hospitalized following a head on crash that closed Hubbard Road Wednesday evening.

Two cars collided just before 6 p.m., near Cleveland Auto Wrecking, not far from the city limits.

When the vehicles came to rest, they were blocking both lanes of the road.

Police from the Traffic Division  kept the highway shut down as they conducted their investigation.

First responders from the city fire department were dispatched to the scene when gasoline was reported to be leaking from the vehicles.

There is no word on the condition or names of the victims.
