Software upgrades are to blame for lagging utility bills in Niles.

Some residents have not received bills in the last month or two because of the change.

The switch over has forced the city's billing manager to review individual accounts to make sure they reflect the correct rates.

The delay should be coming to an end shortly.

Niles Mayor Ralph Infante said this is the last week the city will have to verify accounts.
