Firefighters battle blaze in Austintown
Crews from several fire departments came out in 14 degree temperatures to battle a barn fire near Route 46 and I-80.

Crews from several fire departments came out in 14 degree temperatures to battle a barn fire near Route 46 and I-80.
The Austintown Fire Department was dispatched to the 5400 block of Lou-Ida Boulevard after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
After crews arrived on the scene and found smoke coming from the two-story wood structure in a wooded area behind a residential neighborhood.
A second alarm went out for manpower and equipment from the Weathersfield fire department.
Firefighters used a foam fire retardant on the blaze because of concerns over flammable chemicals being stored in the barn, which also contained some cars.
There have been no reports on injuries.
