Ever since he paid his debt to society for a 2006 conviction on robbery and weapons charges, former Ohio State football standout Maurice Clarett has tried his hand at pro football, he's a motivational speaker, and he has given his support to charitable efforts.

Now the former Harding Raider running back has a commercial venture in the works.  In June, Clarett filed an application to open a business called Clarett Cleaning Services.

The filing for Articles of Organization gives little information about the business, other to say that it's purpose will be a general commercial cleaning company.

The paperwork lists Clarett as the agent for the company, with a mailing address in Pickerington, Ohio, which is just outside Columbus.

In March, Clarett filed Articles of Organization for a non-profit company called Different Day Same Discipline, LLC. The organization operates youth football clinics, and gives Clarett a platform for his motivational speeches.

He is also listed as the agent for the non-profit Comeback Project based in Struthers. It is listed as an organization designed to assist in developing at-risk teenagers for success before they graduate from high school.
