For the first time in 88 years, there is no longer independent radio news in Youngstown.

Clear Channel, which owns NewsRadio 570 WKBN and other local stations, has made cuts including news director Jim Michaels' position. He was the only news person left at the station.

Michaels worked there for 30 years.
