One woman is dead and an infant is hospitalized following a two vehicle crash that shut down a portion of U.S. Route 30 in Columbiana County for several hours on Friday afternoon.
State troopers are investigating the crash that occurred about one mile east of Hanoverton near Lindesmith Road.
Troopers say a car driven by 25-year-old Kathlean Kennedy of Massillon, Ohio went left of center on Route 30, into the path of a motor home driven by 44-year-old Robert Lausted of Bronson, Texas.
Kennedy was pronounced dead at the scene. A one-year-old girl, who was restrained in a child safety seat located on the rear passenger seat of the car, was flown by medical helicopter to Akron Childrens Hospital where she is listed in stable condition.
Troopers say alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
