NILES, Ohio - A Niles city councilman is sentenced for a drunk driving accident.
A judge in Niles municipal court ordered 59-year-old Edward McCormick, Junior to pay a $400 fine and take driving classes while his license is under suspension for 180 days.
In August, McCormick's car crashed into another vehicle as he was turning onto Park Avenue.
The person in the other car was injured and hospitalized.
The fourth ward councilman registered a .228 blood-alcohol level on a breath test.
Under Ohio law, the legal limit is .08.
