YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Youngstown State University officials say a search of the campus following a threatening e-mail turned up no sign of a bomb.

University spokesman Ron Cole gave the 'all clear' at approximately 2:15 p.m. Friday, five hours after YSU sent out text alerts to students, faculty and staff about the threat.

Campus police searched several buildings after ten staff members received a bomb threat through e-mail.

Cole says the FBI and Youngstown City police were also involved in the investigation.

The text alert sent to students characterized the threat as low level and not credible.

Cole described the threat as vague, and not directed to any specific person or building.

The University did not initiate a campus lock down and all campus operations continued as usual.

University officials have not said if they have a suspect in mind.
