LAKE TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Damage is estimated at $500,000 in a two-alarm Mercer County barn fire.
Stoneboro Fire Chief Rick Reither tells 21 News that firefighters from nine departments responded to the fire on Stock Farm Road shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
The family managed to save some horses in the barn, but they lost 1,200 bales of hay.
No one was injured.
Investigators say the cause of the blaze is undetermined.
Chief Reither says the Amish family plans to begin building a new barn as soon as possible.
