VOLANT, Pa. - A coroner said that no foul play or trauma was discovered during an autopsy for a body found in a Lawrence County quarry Sunday and that suicide is being considered.
A person visiting the Kino Quarry at George Washington and Kino Roads found the body of 59-year-old Dwight Edward Copper at about 2:30 Sunday afternoon.
Volant and Neshannock fire departments were called to the scene. State police say that Copper was found in ten feet of water and was dead for approximately 24 hours.
The coroner said there was no signs of foul play at the scene either and that drowning was consistent the cause of death.
Toxicology results are pending.
