Woman charged with prostitution faces lesser charge

NEWTON FALLS, Ohio - The woman charged with engaging in prostitution at the Rose Spa has been convicted of a lesser offense.
Kyong Nyguyen, 56, pleaded no contest on Tuesday to misdemeanor criminal trespassing charges after a raid on the spa in Warren on April 4.
She was obligated to pay a $500 fine and court costs.
Nyguyen and the manager of the spa, 69-year-old Sun Chae, were arrested after police discovered evidence of prostitution in the business.
A male customer from Mansfield was also found engaging in a sex act with an employee.
Chae will return to court May 5 for a hearing on her seven felony counts of promoting prostitution.
The owner of the spa, Ted Kolacz of Newton Falls, is due in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on May 17 on a nuisance complaint.
The complaint was filed by the county prosecutor's office that seeks to close the spa.
