YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The fallout from Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan's photo-op at a Youngstown soup kitchen continues.

St. Vincent de Paul Society President Brian Antal says they received hundreds of phone calls and dozens of letters from irate donors on both sides of the aisle but more from Ryan supporters who will no longer give to the nonprofit.

However he says the support is about equal now, since a national news story about the financial damage Thursday.

Antal has said the visit was not cleared through him and the faith based organization has no political ties.

Tyler Clark created the web site www.mahoningsvdp.org for the organization Friday for people to donate and the nonprofit is also on Facebook. People can also send donations to P.O. Box 224 Youngstown, OH 44501.

Antal said that the donors who are pulling out their support are hurting the more than 100,000 people they serve a year.

Antal believes the damage has the potential to be more far reaching to other St. Vincent de Paul Society soup kitchens across the country.
