NILES, Ohio - A local high school softball team is raising money while helping the planet.
The Niles McKinley Lady Red Dragons held a recycle day at Waddell Park.
People brought in computers, televisions, cell phones, batteries, iPods, GPS devices, fax machines, printers and all other kinds of electronics along with a $10.00 donation to the softball team.
"All the stuff will be recycled. He'll get rid of it and then we get a percentage back besides the 10 dollars people are giving us to drop the stuff off," said Lee Sheets, President of the softball boosters.
All proceeds raised will benefit the Lady Red Dragons in their upcoming season.
