MINERAL RIDGE, Ohio- The post office in Mineral Ridge is temporarily moving to Niles.
The agency was unable to reach a new lease agreement with the landlord, and will leave the building March 25th.
Weathersfield Township Trustees met with the public Tuesday night, where they agreed to ask state and federal lawmakers to help them keep the post office.
The landlord tells 21 News that when the lease came up, the post office made demands for changes to the building, but did not want to pay anymore rent.
He says the agency never negotiated a new lease, but simply announced it planned to leave Mineral Ridge.
All postal operations and post office boxes will be re-located to the Niles post office at close of business day Friday, March 25th.
