LAKEVIEW, Ohio- A levy to support the Lakeview school district will go into effect after an automatic recount certified its passage Wednesday.
The levy, which is expected to raise more than $1 million, passed by a two-vote margin in the May 4 primary with 1,786 in favor and 1,784 opposed.
An automatic recount was ordered because of the narrow margin of victory, but the results remain unchanged.
Also in Trumbull county, an automatic recount was held to determine the Howland Q precinct committeeman.
David Mitrovka and Roy Mason both received four votes for the position, with Mitrovka being declared the winner by a coin toss.
Those results also remain unchanged following the recount.
